Thanksgiving Day

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone... for the 2nd time this year. This one was celebrated at Eric's house with his family. And it was a full house for this one! We had eight adults and four kids, two of which we barely walking. But it was a good time!

Eric got a fresh turkey from Goose The Market again this year. Once again, it was spectacular! It's amazing how much difference fresh turkey turns out verses the frozen ones. With the turkey, we had an array of sides!! Some traditional, like green beans and mashed potatoes... and some new things, like some browned off brussel sprouts (Eric found the recipe in GQ). I did the desserts, as I always do... fresh pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, a blueberry chocolate pie, and some buckeyes. The whole meal was SO good!

Of course, the family time was good, too! It's always so much fun having the real little ones run around. They seem to amuse everyone and keep everyone relatively busy with things. It was interesting watching the two cousins interact, especially initially. I think it was their first time meeting, and they just kind of looked at each other, not too sure about the situation. but kids are kids, and they were all having a good time pretty quickly.

So with that, I must jump online to try to hit some of the online Black Friday sales. I really don't want to go to the stores if I don't have to... the crowds just get so crazy anymore... anyway... with me luck!
